I am considered an out-of-network provider for insurance. You will automatically receive a monthly Superbill receipt to submit to your provider if you have any out-of-network benefits or a health savings account (HSA) you would like to use. See below for more information.

Do you take insurance?

I am considered an out-of-network provider.

I will provide you with a Superbill at the end of the month to submit to your provider for possible reimbursement for out-of-network mental health benefits.

You are responsible for checking if your insurance supports out-of-network reimbursement. Here are some questions to ask your insurer:

Do I have out-of-network benefits for outpatient mental health services?

What percentage of my bill will be reimbursed for services from an out-of-network provider?

What is my deductible, and has it been met?

How do I get reimbursed?

What forms of payment do you accept?
I accept credit/debit cards, including those attached to a health savings account (HSA) or FSA. I also accept cash or check.
What is your cancellation policy?

I am dedicated to helping you make meaningful and lasting changes in your life. To do this, I set aside time, especially for you.

If you cannot attend your scheduled appointment for any reason, you must give me at least 48 hours’ notice so that you are not billed.

For your benefit, I often have one reschedule slot open each day. You won’t be charged a late cancellation fee if I can reschedule your session for the next business day.

How do I set up an appointment?

Simply call, email, or fill out the contact form, and I’ll get back to you about scheduling a free 15-minute consultation.

During the consultation, you can tell me a little about yourself, your challenges, and what’s important to you. You can also ask me any questions you may have. From there, we’ll decide if I’m the right fit for you. If so, we’ll schedule your first appointment and get started!

You specialize in working with men and couples. Do you also work with women?
Of course! I often have several women on my caseload. Women who find success in our work together often seek assistance in decreasing stress, searching for a male perspective, or feeling safer in a room with a man.
What will my first session be like?

Before your first session, I will send you a link to my online portal and have you fill out a series of forms (basic information about you, goals for treatment, current symptoms, privacy practices, and informed consent).

In our first session, we will review any questions about the forms and spend some time getting to know you and what brings you to therapy. The first few sessions allow me to understand what has been going on for you and what we will address in treatment.

What if I’m a bad client?

That’s not possible! You’re reaching out. At this stage, that’s all I need from you.

I firmly believe that our relationship’s safety opens the door for your greatest healing. Therefore, we both must agree that we’re a good team to work together. If I think you’ll find better assistance elsewhere, I have a large network of therapists and will help you team up with someone who might be a better fit for you.

This is the number one reason I offer a free 15-minute consultation to see if I can help.

Are you licensed?
Yes. I am licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist in California, LMFT 133554.
What do you enjoy about being a therapist?
Deciding to enter therapy is hard. I enjoy helping ease that transition for clients. In the chaos of the world around us, I think we all just want a safe place where we can be fully ourselves. I find joy in providing such a place for those who need to talk or process.
Have you been in therapy yourself?

Of course! I’m committed to being the best I can be for you. Part of that commitment includes bettering my own mental health.

Every tool I use in therapy has also been used on me, and they have all revolutionized my life.

What do you do when you’re not working?

I love Los Angeles and California, so you’ll likely find me at the comedy shows near Hollywood, hosting game nights at home, or meandering the coastline with my puppy.
